This Radicalisation and Extremism Awareness Workshop is to give a clear and concise overview of the UK’s Counter-Terrorism legislation. The workshop looks at Radicalisation and Extremism in the UK. It is to give an understanding of how a vulnerable person could be drawn into extremism thought or terrorist-related action.
Learning outcomes
- Understand the meaning of Radicalisation
- Understand the meaning of Extremism
- Identify the types of Extremist Groups
- Know what a Proscribed Group means
- Recognise offences under the Terrorism Act 2000
- Understand what makes a child vulnerable to Radicalisation
- Recognise the Behaviours of a person that might become Radicalised
- Identify where to get help if a person is suspected to be at risk
- Identify where to report suspected Radicalisation
