This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed to safely perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Intended Audience

The QA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide first aid and/or use an AED in an emergency.

Course Overview

During this half day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to administer effective CPR and use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation. Topics covered include: CPR, choking, safe use of an AED, using an AED on a child, AED maintenance and more.

Courses are run at your work place. Venues can be sourced but this will affect the course pricing.

Assessment Methods

3 x Practical assessments, 1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper) and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.

Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (RQF) certificate as well a first aid manual, plastic aide memoire, all personalised with the Centre’s details.
